Estimation of Correlation and Path Coefficient Analysis for Quantitative Traits in Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.): An Experimental Study

The Field Experimentation Centre conducted the current experiment using 22 genotypes of chickpea. Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, Prayagraj Department Genetics and Plant Breeding during Rabi 2021–2022 in Randomized block design with three replications. 13 quantitative variables were studied data, including analysis variance, variability assessment, heritability, genetic advance, correlation coefficient analysis, path for traits related to yield components. According findings there is enough variety among chickpea germplasm included study substantial deviations be found all traits. For character number primary branches per plant, harvest index, GCV, high estimations both. Number major branches, seeds index showed heritability’s along progress. At both genotypic phenotypic levels, characteristics plant demonstrated a positive significant seed plant. biological yield, days maturity, secondary pods pod, had direct impact on production
